Exactly what we needed - my spouse and I will be traveling for my job taking contract work and essentially living off what we can pack in our car. This cargo carrier fit a surprising amount of stuff - a large hard suitcase, 2 small luggage, 2 sets of scuba gear, and more. Easy to put up on the roof of our Explorer, and it didn't budge the entire 10 hour drive (just tuck the ends of the straps under the velcro flaps to avoid the noise of them smacking the side of the car). We also love that it packs up super easy to store between trips and comes with its own storage bag. My spouse actually said "make sure you write a review so other people know how great this is!"

This. Is. A. Must. Have. Literally, just buy it and don’t even hesitate. We were able to move across country with this on top of an older model RAV4 with no issues. We drove through some part with high winds and heavy rains, even then the bag stayed intact and in perfect condition!!! We moved 1,200+ miles road trip with this and when we arrived at our destination there were no rip or tear. This was a great investment that saved us thousands of dollars on the move. Not to mention that it fits a decent amount of luggages (for 3 adults and 1 kid) If you’re planning on buying this, I would suggest you to buy it without hesitation. This saved us so much money and it’s amazing quality. (:

Planning our first trip with baby in tow I knew I needed more cargo space than my SUV could handle. I did not want to buy a hard shell kind because I didnt want to deal with storing it for the majority of the time. My search led me to this and it exceeded my expectations. It was easy to install and overall the quality of the bag, straps were great, was able to fit alot up there and gave me the space inside my car to have a comfortable trip. It survived our trip to the mountains and snowy climate. The best part was being able to fold it back up and putting it away in it's storage bag until our adventure. Highly recommend to anyone.

We used it for a rainy drive from Philadelphia to the Outer Banks, NC. It held a 17”x24” cooler, a large tote, a small tote, one 24” suitcase, two boogie boards and numerous yard games, along with some loose things, like sneakers, hydro flasks, and a bunch of packages of glow sticks. It was nice to not have to worry about anything falling out, and also being able to throw the couple of loose things we forgot to put in a tote without worrying. And also, not having to worry about the weather, and our things getting wet! I highly recommend it!

We went on a trip that took 24 hour 1000+ miles drive and it was in the rain, sun and snow. So I can confirm that this is the best you can find out there. We werre able to pack 6 carry-on luggages and 4 other backpack-size bags and a baby stroller.

Very satisfied with my purchase! Relatively easy to put together & looks great on my bronco. Bag that goes on top on product image looks like it’d be a hard case but it is a soft bag still waterproof. Again I highly recommend it’s a great product

I used this for a 2500 mile road trip. We had most all of our luggage on the hitch rack, in the bag. We went through some very heavy rains during our trip (rained nearly 15 hours of our trip) and the bag remained weather proof. The carrier was sturdy. It did everything I needed it to do!

The package comes with straps, ropes and 2 really cool T-shaped pads/straps that fit under the inside edge of hood and/or trunk to give something to tie to. The pads themselves are a padding of some sort, but nice and firm so the boat doesn’t sink in too far and gives enough clearance above the roof. For my tandem kayak, I placed it upside down with the second seat opening over my satellite antenna so it was not pushing on it. I have an electric car, so to be able to remove this “rack” is invaluable compared to a metal, permanent rack(s) with rails so when I don’t need it the rack isn’t cutting into my mileage. Same could be said for a gas vehicle. Did about 65 mph on highway and kayak didn’t move. I’d recommend this product.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much for the price. My vehicle has no roof rack and I just got a kayak that I needed to transport. I didn't want to spend the $400 to $500 dollars to add a factory rack to my car so I went with the MeeFar Universal Car Soft Roof Rack figuring for $70, even if it was subpar it would do for a while. But when I received it (right on time) I found that the quality was excellent. All the components were rugged and will meet my needs for years. I would and will be passing this on by word of mouth to anyone who finds themselves in the same position that I was in.

It works great! I carry my inflatable kayak inside a rooftoo carrier on my roof, not on crossbars but directly on the roof. It works great but I didn't want to scratch my new car and this works great at preventing that. It has natural sticky properties so it's easy to put it in place before loading the cargo and it remains in place die to the weight of the carrier. Nice and thick, I definitely recommend this.
